The 2009 Western Pennsylvania Arthritis Walk will be held May 9th at Kennywood Amusement Park. The walk raises awareness and funds to fight arthritis, the nation’s most common cause of disability. This year the walk is a three-mile route around the historic amusement park, which participants can choose to walk all or part of. The walk will be held before the park opens for the day.
An exciting NEW addition to the walk this year will be the Kennywood Arthritis Awareness & Family Fun Day! Walk participants will be encouraged to stay for a fun-filled day at Kennywood after the walk. The day will include: Awareness Sessions, Games, Lunch Buffets, Paddle Boat Races, Fly with the Docs on the Sky Coaster, Prizes and More!

Walk Registration 8 - 9:30 a.m.
Walk Begins 9:30 a.m.
Kennywood Gates Open 10:30 a.m.
Lunch Buffet 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Walk Awards Presentation 12 p.m.
Arthritis Awareness Session 12:30 - 2:00 p.m.
Kennywood Closes Around 10 p.m.

* It is FREE to register and participate in WPA Arthritis Walk. The WPA Arthritis Walk will take place before Kennywood opens and will end outside the park. Only those who choose to stay for the fun-filled day at Kennywood AFTER the walk, will have to buy ticket to re-enter the park.*
